Artemis Quartet CD BOX with first release

We are delighted to announce the release of a beautiful collector's edition of all CD productions by the Artemis Quartet from the years 1996 to 2018. Our record label Erato/Warner will be reissuing this collection on 23 CDs at the end of May 2024.
Especially meaningful to us is the first-ever release of our recording of Antonín Dvořák's "American String Quartet" Op. 96 from 2015. The recording sessions in the legendary studios of Berlin's Nalepastrasse concluded just a few days before the tragic death of our then-violist Friedemann Weigle.
We are filled with gratitude, pride, and profound emotion to be able to honor this wonderful musician and to bring him back to the "big stage", that meant so much to him.
 

Artemis Quartet takes a break

The Artemis Quartet announces a break from performing for an indefinite period of time and dissolves the current formation. The consequences of the grueling pandemic, a serious case of illness in the immediate family and the upcoming maternity leave of Vineta Sareika do not allow the quartet to plan reliably at this time. The Artemis Quartet will regroup and return to the stage in due course.
